New wheels
the wheels, by themselves, aren't bad. the combination of the design, SIZES, & color scheme and the fact that they're going on an s2k is prob what most people aren't able to appreciate.
as someone else mentioned, better suited for a VIP car or on a bagged s2k, like the new gen of owners are doing. 19s are too much for an s2k, even if you're just looking to cruise & hardpark.
doesn't really need to be repeated, but it is your car and wheels. i do like the lip finish & gold hardware.

Count me down for advan as well. That being said I don't mind VS-KFs at all. I think the ones on AE's car don't look good because they have flat lips and they're 17s (i think). In 18s, with a step lip i think they look fine. But if you're goal was to get the look that the other two had, why not just get meisters?
Also looking at the picture you shared of the red car on the last page, that's not your car is it?
But back to the wheels, I don't think they're as bad as people are making them out to be if they're done right, but I also don't care for the style as I think S2000s (especially widebody S2ks) look and drive far better with a functional and sporty setup. It's your car. Run them and see how you like them. If you don't like them then sell them.

Yes the red car in the last page was mine, before the body kit. was my old set up with some crappy 19s
going to test them out and see how it looks.. just need to wait until the body is done ..
While I am not a huge fan of the KF (or of 19's but hey if you like spending extra money on tires thats your choice) I do love the work bronze color on the lip. I would have done the matte bronze face but again your choice. Curious to see them on the car as there is very few that have run this wheel.

Stick with the advans, and don't go bigger than 18s
Those wheels are VIP/stance/hardpark/hellaflush Lexus wheels.
And no, 19"s do not work on the S2000. The car was originally engineered for 16"s, then came 17"s. 18"s are the limit - at 19" you hit the law of diminishing returns, on top of the fenders and overall body proportion an sizing not being designed for that size wheel - doesn't look right, that doesn't even take into account the engineering and performance aspect of things...

the fact that you have the APR widebody is prob why people think you have 18s. i used to get similar comments about the 18" VOLK LE-37Ts on my WRX, which was way back when the WRX first hit the States and before the Hella Flush & Stance craze. the OEM "widebody" fenders were so huge, compared to what people were used to that the 18s looked tiny. in fact, a few guys tried putting 19s on the WRX a while later, but like w/the s2k, it just looks off.
i know you say that drivability didn't change from your 18s, but i highly doubt that. i don't know where you live, but i take it you're running 35 series tires all around. i can't imagine driving around any city very often w/that setup. even in the burbs, pulling into a strip mall and parking must not be very fun. then again, i guess your widebody helps.
anyways, not here to slam you. it's a forum. just giving my $.03, like everyone else. i do respect that your opinion and choices are your own. i just don't agree with them.

NO worries bro.. i know this is a public forum and the point is to hear back from other people that have experiance. the 19s i had on my S was with the stock rear quarters and 5mm bigger front fenders. I ran that set up for many years and loved it. If you see in the pic last page , that is how it looked before i put on the APR widebody. I am not done with the APR yet.. still at the paint shop. But the new kit runs 50mm more in the front and back. I do live in a big city, and running a low profile tire kinda sucks.. but never had issues besides feeling the road more. This is more of a side car for me.So it doesnt get out much.. still only have 35k miles on my 01. anyway.. what is going to matter is when i put it on the car the first time, then and only then i will know if it looks good.. jusy my .04 cents..
