Still not the most ideal offset which is why it looks off. It looks off to me too! On a widebody offset needs to be perfect and the wheels need to be flush for it to look right. Your examples of 18's looking too small are all because someone put a widebody on their car and slapped wheels on without doing their homework! Offset is everything and all these examples are examples of offset gone wrong lol!

Seriously, what's the point of a widebody just to run stock body wheel specs? Is there a thick inner fender lip that can't be trimmed and prevents flush wheels?

I have no problem with 19's, ran multiple sets on my 350Z and G35. There are 2 issues on the S2000, tires sizes and proportion. 19's on a stock body make it look like a cartoon. Widebody might be able to pull it off but I would still go for 18's. As for tire size, we have a very small stock diameter and in order to match you would need to run a 225/35, 255/30. Diameter becomes an issue if you want to actually run wide tires on your widebody. Good luck finding a proper diameter 285/25/19(!) for the rear.

19s on a 350 and G are normal though. if you go 18s on either of those you're gonna have some BIG tires typically

I think the issue of fitment could have been solved simply by going to 22". That way, it will fill in the whole wheel well, you don't have to worry about offset, and you get to put a neat "22"" sticker on your car. Literally cannot think of a better solution than that.

That is my point. The chassis is better equipped to handle it with huge fender wells and larger overall diameter tires, 2" in rear, compared to the S2000. I have seen a couple people post up questions or pics of 19's and it is never met with a favorable response. It's just the majority opinion, not really mob mentality. I would say even 18's are looked down upon by a large percentage of the forum.

Everyone has their own style though. At the very least I would be curious what the wheel specs are and pics of the finished look.

I second this. You can theme your car out too like a "skittles" theme or "mcdonalds" theme. Possibilities are endless.
