too bad the turbo version is gonna be in the 53K range whereas the s2000 CR is still under 38K msrp

wonder what could be done to an s2k for $15K well spent?
This is quite funny.

What's the difference between what you are saying and someone saying neon-srt could be a better buy than S2k with all the extra money you save to spent on mod.

First, it wouldn't be 53k range, and even if does go up to that range it is still attractive comparing to its competitors.

Second, why would you compare CR and Z4 with their price?
CR isn't faster, isn't as powerful and isn't having all the goodies as Z4.
There's a clear reason why Z4's price is higher.

You would clearly take S2k if you want the raw roadster with cheaper price and go over $50k range for other roadsters if you want faster, better featured and more luxurious roadsters.

But then, with elise now in $30k range, S2k got nowhere to go.

Not as new, not powerful as others nor having current technologies.

But, I still love S2k

The Z4 is a major pig though, It's not much lighter than my 335i and for the space you give up wtih the Z4. It looks better than the previous Z cars I think but that's too much weight for a roadster.

^ You are so right about that.
But I assume it would be much nimbler than 335i. I can't wait to see M version of this...
I would totally trade in my 335i for it.

The 335i probably is more solid, fixed roof > convertible top (rigidity wise) and the 3 series looks 10x better. I think they are moving in the right direction but still not enough to make me buy it.

It looks better but it's also going to be more expensive.
