Next Generation S2000
Sorry I kept this to myself since yesterday. I don't know if anyone else saw it giong eastbound on the 10 fwy.
So I was driving home from work and something caught my eye. It looked somewhat familiar and when I got next to it and took a good look I knew what it was! I was next to a brand new generation S2000. It was yellow and the fenders were flared wider than stock. It had a roof but I wasn't able to tell if it was just a hard top or not. If it was a hardtop, they dramatically increased the size of the rear window.
Unfortunately it was too trafficy for me to see what the car could do performance wise. I didn't get a shot of the front end, but there was a hump on the hood. I'm guessing the new engine has a gigantic turbo in it that won't fit the hoods we have today. To be honest, I didn't like the front lights all that much. They reminded me of a mitsubishi, I can't remember which model. Maybe they'll grow on me.
The exhaust tone of the car was alright. This new generation comes with only a single exhaust, so maybe the engine is a straight 6 with a turbo. Who knows. Maybe it's still a 4 cyl but with turbo...it doesn't matter, it's going to rule!
Another thing I didn't like about the car was that it seems bigger and taller than our S's. Maybe it's just more aerodynamic this way.
Anyway, onto the first pic here. I forgot to mention that the car is yellow. It wasn't rio or spa yellow, but more of a faded yellow. Maybe they'll call it "Pseudo" yellow.
This is a photo I shot when I was right behind it. It looks so wild and territorial! Notice the flared fenders.

Very aggressive right? Tell me about it!
So I was able to get next to it and the guy looked over at me a few times. I could tell that he was excited to be driving the newest S that no one else has, except for maybe some lucky guy in Japan.

It's so gorgeous. In this next shot you'll see the intricate designs on the rims. I bet they're 100% titanium. I was able to get this shot right before he blew me away in traffic.

I hope you guys enjoy. I can't way to see more of these on the streets! Those who are thinking about the 2008 models should wait!

We have the nicest cars on one end of the spectrum, and the MOST HORRIBLE RICERS on the other end
OMG, that's hilarious...reminds me of this one guy (locally) who retrofitted S2000 headlights and taillights to his Del Sol. He even had (what appeared to be) the mufflers from the S.
