actually there was tape covering the hole up, I guess they forgot to take it off when they finished painting it.

I dig it but I think it really needs the sides to look finished. The contour and height of the stock sides looks funny to me.

its painted black, but you could always switch it up with the version II from J's.

FYI, that carbon diffuser from J's is what brings the value of the bumper up. I was thinking about switching to the FRP diffuser and back then it was about $600.
