They are on solid yeah, I don't care about the hate. I really love the way the car is coming together. I was throwing around ideas to do a wrap in the spring. Just can't justify doing something like that in the winter.
Car handles very well with supporting suspension mods. Thanks for the love!

Color match the panels and the car will look 100,000x better.

Loved your car with the Weds man. New setup is super aggressive, you're going to have a lot of fun with it at the track

On a related note, I really dislike the elitist culture a few posters have created on this board. It seems like you have to be rocking ohlins, volks, or some mad tyte jdm parts overnighted from Japan to be worthy of posting here now. And any s2k build that deviates from the way it "should" be built is looked down upon. Anyways wrote a bit more but deleted it.. don't want to clutter your thread bro but I've had this on my mind for a while now.
Your my Dude!! Haha and thank you, she handles like a wet dream. Lol

I totally agree, the funny part is, I have spent numerous hours researching, have bought real quality parts, spent months at a time waiting for delivery and spent hard earned money to make my vision come forward. As you said if it's too "different" it's wrong or ugly by many views. I could paint the car and be full silverstone like the thousands of other cars, but I choose not to at the moment for a new look. I don't mind opinions if constructive, but to be a sheep and say every car has to be cookie cutter like the others is just crazy to me. The reason we tune and modify cars is to be different and upgrade for performance or personal style, it's part of the heart that goes into everyone's build.
Honda the power of dreams! Cheers!

I was going to stay out of this, but this is one of the dumbest things I've read on this forum. You're equating a car that is fully painted one color to a "cookie cutter build"? You think slapping unpainted black gel coated fiberglass parts that are riveted onto the side of your car is being different? It looks like you ran out of money half way through the build. It's not like you made a decision and painted the parts black because you liked the contrast, you slapped them on and said good enough. I'm sorry to tell you that it doesn't look good. It literally looks like you have unfinished parts tacked to the side of your car, because that's what you have.

I could give two shits about the parts you buy for you car, it's the execution of the build that matters. If you're happy with the way you're car looks that's great but don't expect to post something like that in a public forum and have everybody giving positive feedback.

I said I don't mind constructive criticism, I just need a bunch of people disrespecting my car. You like it cool. You hate it? That's fine too. I'm saying cookie cutter as in not doing the same as everyone else, not a fully painted car. As it sits now I'm happy, but I'm throwing around wrap ideas with a local shop for spring. Thanks

Would like to see it all in one color. I agree with others, it looks tacky with unpainted body parts. I would at least plasti-dip it with spray gun, especially if you are expecting a lot of track time, you won't have to worry about paint and you can change the color a lot.

I know someone that tracks his FD a lot and to keep his paint minty, he uses plasti-dip.

His car is pretty well known as well and I am pretty sure he owns 3 RX7 FD and a RX3

All the same car and owner.

Evasive runs voltex front and rear overfenders, they don't run CG rear overfenders.

Truer words have never been spoken.

As for the mentioned "elitist culture", maybe it has something to do with the owners from the past actually had money to get the real stuff compared to the large group of new owners who bought the S simply because it was the object of their wet dreams when they were 16 or younger and somehow found a way to get good enough financing to get one but not much else. So instead, they rely on their old Civic ways and cheap out on anything and everything with the "good enough" mentality. I saw somewhere that buying all this replica and knockoff stuff simply because of the price is due to this generation being impatient and wanting as much as possible, as soon as possible, for as little as possible.

Don't get me wrong, I started driving in a $450 '91 Civic DX and worked up through quite a few Civic's, a few Integra's, and got my S at 18 yet here I am NOT putting garden liners on the fenders, slamming the nuts to the pavement with 45* cockeyed wheel fitment, fitting Civic Si foglights, painting or installing yellow highbeam bullshit, etc.

To each their own, sure.
But at the same time, if you're going to post something to an open forum, you had better expect to take the negative with the positive. Otherwise, don't post.
