Not bad for a....
i love the genesis coupe. first time i saw them was at SEMA. i drove the first one they got here on the lot, it was a v6. sounded good and was a nice car to drive. i'd love to take the 2.0l turbo track version out whenever they start hitting the dealerships. i've got a friend that's way into them and will eventually get one.
hyundai has certainly come a long way, wow the track version looks promising and shows a lot of potential. the only thing that bugs the crap out of me is the hyundai symbol, just looks gay i dont like the shape of their H compared to the honda H maybe it will grow on me
i think the hyundai badge on the genius but not on the coupe. the first pic kinda reminds me of the gtr

Answer to your "longevity" comment:

And here's some more info on the Genesis:

There are two engine choices -- 223 hp 2.0L turbo and a 312hp V6.

Porche and Hyundai owners alike, from my experience, have never had anything but trouble long-term. And there is no way they're beating out companies like honda and toyota, i mean just look on the roads at all the old cars you see, they're either old hondas or corollas usually.... or at least around here they are
few things to say.....
1) let's not argue about whether or not the car is more "raw" than something else
2) let's not argue at all, actually
3) when i first got wind of this car (superbowl commercial) I was absolutely stunned that hyundai made such a sick car, and RWD to boot!
actually, it's not all that surprizing, hyundai has been making progressively better cars for the last decade. better looking, better quality, and more affordable than other companies.
also, it seems they realize that there is a HUGE target market for sports car enthusiasts (ESPECIALLY RWD WAKE UP HONDA!!!) and have produced one of the sickest new market entries at a pretty damn affordable price.
all i can really say is, well played hyundai. you are earning more kudos points with me as time progresses and companies like Honda, Nissan, and Toyota seem to be forgetting their roots and focusing on econo cars, and ignoring the market for *affordable* being the operative word and great looking sport coupes/roadsters.
4) yes, it does look similar to the G35/37 but in my opinion it's not like companies havent been using a leader-follower marketing strategy until just now....
5) i actually dislike what nissan did with the g37, the early concepts for it were perfect, and they had to tweak it and pretty much ruined the rear of the car IMO.... the g35 looks much better and always will, to me.
6) point is basically;
hyundai is on a very legit path right now, and this car is a major breakthrough for them, and for the import scene.
don't be surprized if in ten or 15 years we are all wanting to get in a hyundai!!!
and oh, yes, it looks AMAZING when done right

I love my S2000 . . . but I'd trade my blown S2K for a blown V6 Genesis coupe right now . . .
I owned a v6 Tib for 4 years, never had a single problem with it. Was supercharged w/ supporting mods, never gave me a bit of grief . . . until it sank in a flash flood . . .
this coupe isn't the best car on the market, but it's not trying to be either . . .it'll perform as well as a g35/7 and a 350/70z for less money
Hyundai has consistently been winning quality and reliability rewards for the past several years . . . companies like Honda and Toyota aren't quite as far ahead as some of you would lead us to believe.
I'm excited to see what happens, from the pics coming out of Korea, the car looks sick when modified, and I'm sure there is gonna be a huge market for this car, fun times!

the sedan has no less luxurys than a 7 series with half the price tag
