I can not believe that you locked my favorite thread on this site because of this. Do any of you people understand the concept of FREEDOM? Before this thread got shut down DarkSub mentioned something about "baby sitting"....... WE ARE NOT BABIES.

STOP THE CENSORSHIP!!!! Let us be free to make asses out of ourselves if we so choose. How can we judge somebody if you delete their posts? If you can't handle something... IGNORE IT. I understand that you moderators are "doing your job" but some of you guys take it way too far.

I won’t bite on the fact you are calling me a fag (also not allowed).
What I will do is debate the notion that you should be allowed to post something considered to be offensive.
This is a privately owned website; they can delete any post or close any thread they want, at will.
This site chooses NOT to let you make ass of yourself because it has a self-imposed responsibility to keep it's professionalism to a certain standard.

This rule exists because the result is post that is going to be offensive to people.
It is infantile to think that posting such an image would constitute education or entertainment in any way.
Yes, creatures get killed in nature by other creatures all the time. Yes, it is usually not pretty. The issue is: we all have seen Wild Kingdom on PBS and know what nature is like. There is nothing redeeming about watching a dismembered mouse trying to escape certain death. This animal did not wander into a pond; the turtle (granted, an opportunistic feeder) did not win his meal on his own in nature. This event was forced in an artificial environment and then filmed. Mice are not on the turtles menu for natural diet….this was a malicious and cruel act.
Even if the video was of a turtle eating some fish or crawfish, it would still have no place in our forum because it depicts a potentially offensive act to some.
I enjoy the random pic threads as well. The image that caused the controversy did not follow the spirit of the thread.
As an officer of this site, and a proponent of what the site stands for and represents, I feel compelled to call out when its membership steps out of line…you sir are out of line.
So far you have broken a couple of rules on this site, I would think carefully if I were you.
I can see the rest of this thread is going the same way. I am perfectly fine being vilified over the issue. Feel free to flame away.

^^Have to agree. Same thing happens on nearly all sites (i'm a member of quite a few). Acts of cruelty aren't usually allowed to be portrayed, amongst other things.
If you want an uncensored forum, visit 4 - chan instead. Otherwise, we should all stick by the rules.
