Default OEM Hardtop Question

Hey,
I just purchased an OEM hardtop and i had a few questions and i am gonna post pics to explain better. I know what all the parts are but i dont know if i need certain ones. I searched a little but LMK please.





First off in the 2nd pic those are the strikers i need right?

and in the first pic that handle is the release? that goes into the side catcher? i was wondering if thats all i needed? any info would be appreciated thanx peace

you don't need either of those two things actually, they're both part of the hardtop.

so i just need the side catchers? i was thinking i could use the striker from my soft top? need more info please

I don't know why no one else is replying, lol, I'm not the best when it comes to explaining this.

But anyways, yeah you just need the side catchers and then you also need the catchers that the strikers clip in to. The ones that're already on the roof of your car aren't sufficient enough I believe.

hmm.. im using the strikers on my roof. same with a bunch of other people i know, so i guess its fine?

The strikers are already on your windshield.
02+ have better strikers supposedly.
From your pics, it looks like all you need are the catchers.

probably, when i got mine, i had an 01, and they looked pretty much identical. i couldn't find any difference at all from the ones i had on there already vs the ones i switched them out with. the fitment still wasn't 100% so i just stuck a tiny piece of paper in there lol now it's nice and tight with no type of rattles or squeeks.

ok what about the brushes do i need those? and the defroster harness? what about that i was told i need that and the brushes
