Leo, I love your car the more and more I see it

That has to be my next mod! How does it install? Do you need to weld/fabricate anything or is it a bolt on?

Here is a shot of my old cage...

I dont underdtand how people can order this cage when they see what poor construction it has. Dont forget the bolt that sits right behind your head.

No disrespect to you JsAP1.

Awesome pics man!

BUT.... I still think roll bars are pointless unless you are digging hard into the corners (i.e. racing competitvely at a major track). These posers that go to auto-Xs with roll bars.... give me a break!!

What about for a show car? Or people that just want harnesses? Those were the reasons behind my purchase.

None taken. In all honesty I havent seen a cage to date that will protect you from a major roll or collision. These JDM cages will fold regardless of brand. Now that being said this was a nice show piece I had a couple years ago. I actually just recently sold it. Its actually not bad if you have low bucket seats. Then the bolt isnt that close to you. If you want to get really technical even an OEM hardtop is just as dangerous. Seen it first hand.

Keep in mind these Japan aftermarket cages are meant to be installed on a RHD car not LHD car. Small differences but thats why they are unsafe and the fact that the backing plates are 1/4 inch thick.
I had it close to 3 years and had no issues.

Just curious, but whats the point then? If you want it for show, etc, cool. But for safety purposes, if none do their job, then why bother?
