Should I replace my rear tires with a 255/40 or 265/40 on a 9.5" +38? Im currently running a 245/40 with -3.5 camber with a roll, pull, and mild flare with about 10mm of wheel to fender clearance. If i go 255 i dont have to add anymore camber but if i go 265 i get that extra 10mm of tire width. Im going to be running BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 because i like the ride and also like the thickness of the sidewalls.

Also my rear 245/40 will be going up front to replace the 205/45 cheap kuhmos that chopped to shit in 2 months. No wonder they were both under 100 mounted and balanced.

 

i did 255 with 9.5 3 degrees with plenty of clearance.. i dont think i would push it with a 265 though

 

I'd stick with a 255/40 as well. In addition to the extra width, a 265/40 would be quite a bit taller than a 245/40.

 

a 265/35 or 265/30 is a bit shorter sidewall but i didnt notice any problems when i was running them. then again i was on falken 452's. same wheel and offset in the rear.
