Does anyone know if I could fit a 15mm spacer behind a RPF1? I dont know if the recesses are deep enough.

The recess depth is dependant on wheel width/offset/mounting pad. If they are 10mm deep then you will be fine.

Already has a set of 17x9 +45s here and have some volks on the car now. Was going to try the 9.5 +38s but think I'll end up playing it safe with the 9 +45s as I'd like to get on track and I'm not really trying to be super hellaflush.

with the 17x9 setup and staggered tires, would 235/40/17 F and 255/40/17 R fit with just a roll and bumper relocation? Based on the wheel calculator, a 235/45/17 would be taller than the fronts, which I was told would throw off the ABS.
