Chopped up my HKS Hi-Power dual when I started my turbo build. Went from this:



To this:



I then made the entire new exhaust system in two nights with a friend who did the welding. Stainless steel of course.

It's a 2.5inch system with an oval magnaflow muffler right under the passenger seat, then just piping all the way back. cost me like $175...
In first gear, you could hear vtec pop s clear!!! Sounds great

thanks, i agree its quite noticeable. that car is actually totaled and gone now, but i swapped it right over to the new one. new one is a 'vert, and i must say the exhaust and k&n sound amazing with the top down.

Large canned and loud/raspy exhausts get LOTS of the wrong kind of attention around here, My take on something "OEMish"



2.5" Straight off the OEM Resonator, Basically a muffler delete that still exits in OEM locations with OEMish tips. Sounds excellent.

Nah, The OEM Cat and OEM resonator do a good job of quieting the car down, It's got a very very low "hum" while cruising and only gets loud over 5500rpm. If the radio is on while cruising I can't even hear the exhaust.
