I see your plate is mounted inside the mouth of the bumper. Does this block off a good portion of the scoop?
I have your same setup (less the heatshield/sparkplug cover), just not installed yet. I recently got a fix-it ticket for no front plate, but I dont want to block the scoop in fear that I may decrease the effect of ram air into the scoop (license plate possibly blocking air or creating a pocket/abnormal turbulance around the scoop)
Steve, care to chime in?

I have been pulled over for front plates too and I would rather them look and see the plate than have them not see the plate and instead see the opening to the giant snorkal

I am running a Plate with mine and I do not notice any issues feels the same as when the plate was not mounted. Its mounted in the OEM location with a BackYard Special license plate bracket (angles the plate similiar to ricks brackets)and I went a little further by bending the plate to help direct the air even more.

i dont get the kevlar thing.
kevlar's use in composites is to reduce the brittle nature of carbon fiber or the protect from impact fragments. i know it is all for show when it comes down to it but at least carbon fiber is close to its "real" purpose of being light and stiff.
in any case, it looks awesome and thanks for the pics. a lot of people on this board are very interested.

The kevlar is another option for people. Steve believes in blending function and form. If you look at the weave close up, you can see the 'fuzz.' This is real carbon kevlar and very high quality to boot. Why does Steve also offer the product this way? Because he wanted to and because he can.
