Damn that looks good. So those are the stock 04 wheels powdercoated in black chrome? How much does a process like that go for and where is it done? Also, can you choose from different shades to do it?

 

Here's a blast from the past.

I know that S2000GT is pretty busy these days, so I will jump in and help out.

The process for his wheels is just a powder coating process, which in general should run between $50-$100 a wheel depending on where you live and the type of powder used. The powder he used was not stocked by his powder coater and had to be special ordered. He ended up using the same powder to coat all the stuff in the engine bay (and eventually his roll cage, not seen in these older pics.) You can order different shades and types of powder coating.

He has since sold those wheels and moved up to some 18" Advan RS's.
