Otis and "babe" enjoy new toy-
[i]it's always handy to know just how big a "thing" you can actually get in this car.

For the record I brought a microwave home from the store, but I would have rather have the wine
Careful not to exceed the weight limit. Looks like about 300 lbs in the passenger seat: 30 gallons (whole barrel) x 8 lbs/gallon plus roughly 50 lbs for the barrel itself = 290 lbs. Anyone who enjoys bear or wine that much has to weigh more than 110 lbs...
Thanks for all the friendly replies. And, oh yeah, I'm a winemaker so the new barrel was empty(fyi, French oak, about $425 for the 30 gallon barrel. I use them for two years and retire them, so it adds about a buck to the cost of making each bottle of wine). I was tempted to ride along with a long soda-straw from my mouth reaching inside, but as it was I got plenty of attention. As for the question about the tires, see my post in the tire/wheel forum about three days ago- Otis
I couldn't believe that you made me go search for the thread that you had posted in the Wheel/Tire forum? I just answered your question in THERE, hope that helped?
I knew from your picture that the tires looked "THIN" and they weren't best for the S2000! That's why I ask.
SO2's are much grippier tires and they are MADE for S2000!

Thanks 850- I didn't mean to put you to any trouble, I just thought it best to keep the tire discussion over there. I do appreciate the info and links, which I did get at the tire/wheel forum. - O
