Hi All, I did a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Basically, I wanted to see how the colored S's (silver, GPW, NFR, Rio, Laguna/Suzuka blue, etc.) look with the housing of the head-lights and tail-lights paint matched to the body. Berlina Black already has the housing blacked out, so disregard those ones.

Has anyone done this? I'd like to see it!!!

What are the fellow S drivers thoughts on this?

i know it exists. dont remember who tho. it was a sebring silver i believe. had the headlights and taillights matching.

im sure they'll chime in soon enough.

 

I have seen headlight inserts painted before to match the car, but I prefer the stock look better because it gives some contrast.

 

WindchaserS2K (sp?) has the headlight inserts on his AP1 color-matched Silverstone and it looks pretty clean! Reminds me of the 2nd-gen NSX-R and 360 Modena.

Someone else on the board with a Sebring AP1 had his taillight inserts color-matched and that didn't look as good IMO.

 

I've seen it before, but wasn't a huge fan.


Are you going to trade your 06 in for a different color if you like it?

 

gyrofx has his sebring ap2 headlights painted. i don't see him much on the boards anymore though.

 

S2KPUDDYDAD has his suzuka headlight housings painted, looks good.

 

The front headlight housing has been done by a number of people. Never seen the rear lights done though. Will post of pictures of the process later.
