I wasn't sure whether to risk painted the etched logo after reading the "do at your own risk" disclaimer, but decided to give it a shot anyway. I'm very happy how it looks, though I have no idea how long it may last before possibly chipping away. I used 4 coats of "professional" enamal paint before using 3 coats of hi-gloss enamel. The professional stuff is supposed to stick to metal better, etc.
Anyway, I don't remember anyone posting anything about painting these knobs, so for the future, here's my effort:
I love that knob design. Great job. The paint should stay there. I painted mine about 8 months ago with some cheap Krylon red paint from Wal-Mart, and it has not chiped away yet.
