can you pls clue me in on what kind of lighting he used? i'm an aspiring amateur type photographer and i'm trying to figure out how he got your car to be so bright against the background. unless he had a big flash go off to the side, i'm not sure how much a speedlight external flash would do for this.

as for the rolling shot, this wasn't hand held was it? if not, suction cup camera mount?

definitely awesome shots
I'm guessing it was set lighting.. lamps that were diffused a little bit just enoughto highlight the car.. I think a flash in this situation would be bad. I could be wrong.

No flash, no artificial light..just natural lighting. Its all in the shutter speed. Color balance played with in photoshop.

Seems like a long exposure wouldn't just highlight the car though but encompass everything around it. Sweet job.. I'd like to know what camera/lens he was using.

based on his site, it looks like he uses a d100. that doesn't look like natural light to me w/o medium use of photoshop to have such a highlight on the car, but keeping the background in the dark. i'm doing a shoot w/ a white s2k tomorrow and would be curious to see what low light would do to the car. as for the moving shot, it's right on the money, but i sorta doubt that it was handheld (considering a lot of the other motion shots he had on his site) because the background totally suggests a much longer shutter speed than handheld can yield.

anyway, having studio type lighting or a strong external flash are the only guesses i have as to the lighting situation....

all in all, still one of the nicest set of pics i've seen in a while

Spankee,

This is the first s2k in a long time that I actually enjoyed looking at. You have done an amazing job and I give you a big

I know we have had some differences but I always put that aside.

Now that we got that out the way....

It looks like your front wheels are rubbing. Pick up a set of Cwest front fenders and paint them and you wont have the rubbing issue... Then you can say your finished. That is until you deside to buy a Amuse CF hood and Amuse CF trunk...
