yeah teh turning pic look s like the tire has alot of give, maybe good for a highway car, but the cool factor is way up there

the tire assembly is of the same strength as a normal tire of the same size according to its application.
People just never notice sidewall flex. They also have high performance assemblies in development because the great part about its cornering capabilities is that there is no air displacement. When your tire is hard in a corner and 50% of the car's mass is on that wheel, the sidewall gives and the air is pinched and distributed to the more open area of the tire because hot air wont compress. This is like having shocks in your tires.
I had to take a class on these and the Michelin PAX system which another mind blower, i am sure some of you have heard of it. It comes on optioned Odysseys, Jaguar's and next the A6
