Here is mine, bought a sheet of lamin-x on ebay and used a credit card to apply, came out well and it makes the hid's look really cool at night.

I used to have the blue ones on my car that i got from lamin-x.com. If you are looking at the lamp housing when the lights are on they look a nice bmw blue, but if you look at the actual light produced (like on a wall in front of your car) they look stock to me.

In my opinion, I think that they are crisper. Not really a blueish light, but ironically a whiter light. I think I'm going to put them on my Suburban as well

To answer the question about visibility at night... honestly, it really isn't that much of a difference.. and I didn't notice any real reduction in visibility.
