Pic Request: Axis Mod wheels or any 18x7.5 with 42 offset.
Hey guys! Im looking to buy some new wheels and I have kind of narrowed it down to some Axis Mod Sevens. The rims size is 18x7.5 with a +42 offset. As of right now I plan on running a 215 tire in the front and 225 tire in the rear. I have a similar post in the wheel and tire forum but here I just want to see some pics if you have a similar set up.
I did a rim calculator and it says it will stick out 23mm. Will it rub even with the stock springs? Also what about with the kg/mm sport springs?
Also how does that setup sound as a daily driver? Should it hurt performance much? The rims are 22lbs. a piece I think.
I have done many searches and looked at so many pics that im almost sick but alot of pics dont have offsets and such listed. So if possible, please post some pics of a similar setup or anything with axis mod wheels on it. Thanks in advance,

Mark, is this the only wheel that you like? The offset is not the greatest, but since you are running such a narrow tire set up. It may avoid rubbing. The wheel is pretty heavy, even for a cast wheel. Are there anything else you like? We usually try to achieve 225 tires front and 255 tires rear.
Well Im on a slight budget. I am trying to stay around the $1700 range which is what I can get these wheels, tires, install, taxes, and warranty for.
These wheels have a 2 in lip in the front and a 3 in lip in the back. That may be part of the reason for the offset?
Would it look stupid with this set up? Like would the rear tires not look wide enough, even though they are the same width as stock? Im trying to get a good mental picture of these wheels, thats why I posted here so hopefully someone has some wheels along the same lines as what im looking at now.

haha yeah it looks like homer is rubbing one off
Anyways, to answer your question: I am always one to push what is acceptable- I was going to buy 18'' rotas for 600 - but even they had +48 offsets... I believe Russ' old rims had +42-43 offsets and he got away with it fine without rubbing.
I like Axis rims, and I like the Mod 7s...but why not consider the Axis Supermesh? They have offsets of +45, which might help a little bit more. They also have that huge lip you're looking for and I personally think they look a little better too.

My buddy works at discount tire so Im getting a little better deal I think. Also in the supermesh. They come in an 18x8 with a 45offset. But the mods are 18x7.5 with a +42 offset so I would think they would stick out the same if not the supermesh would stick out more. Not 100% sure of that but it seems to make sense to me.
