Thumbs up PIC Request: OEM AP2 ver.2 with black Inners

I'm thinking about attempting this but need a few good close-up pictures.....

They had the face of the wheel still in polished oem silver but the inside spokes painted black....looks SWEET!

I think you might be referring to me?

I will actually be posting a new photoshoot in 2 days. I just installed a new rear CF lip.

YES simple awesome man! You even have the best color, FASTEST COLOR!

Who did the painting may I ask? Or did you tackle it yourself?

rick

This is such a sick picture borrowed from your thread, I would throw this wheel against ANY aftermarket rim and say it's one of the CLEANEST!

Hey thanks a lot!

I did the wheels myself. They are satin black on the inside.

It's funny seeing you post nice comments about my car. Your Rio was one of my original inspirations! I actually have a lot of saved pics of your car on my computer .

No problem dude, us Rio owners all have great taste and it's great to learn from one another!

I am currently running my nsx oem rims on the car but always looking to try new things I get my share of head turning with the r8 led headlights....

Regarding your satin black paint....where did you get the paint from?

1) Did you sand down the clear coat area of the inner spokes to get better paint adhesion?

2) Did you use a Primer of some sort before painting the wheel?

3) Think right now spray paint but maybe easier with say Testor's enamel from a hobby shop with a brush?

07 Rio, do you have spacers on your stockies? I am thinking of doing a gunmetal for the insides of mine.

Yea I'm thinking I need to sand each wheel's inner section by hand for the primer to adhere better.....oh boy this is going to take some time!

(I believe the 07RioS2k has 15mm spacers all around on his s2000)

I'm also running 15mm front H/R spacers and none on my rears for my nsx oem rims.
