From a physics standpoint (physics minor in college) the way the wheels are positioned under the car would force one to believe there are in fact jack stands under the car out of view as the car would tip backwards if it were in fact sitting on the wheels.

Yes the car is on jackstands. I always put the jackstands on the frame rails. They work perfect. There is no way I'd put the car down on my wheels. There was very minimal space to spare sliding them under though so I can see how it looks as if the car is resting on top.

naw, if the two wheels/tires are of equal width then the wheel in the middle could be supporting most of the weight of the car and keep it relatively level. it's only if the rear most wheel was beyond center of the car(toward the front) or the front most wheel was of larger width that the car would tilt toward the rear.

Haha go ahead make fun of the smart kid not being smart lmao..... Just kidding. I can take the ribbing. Either way it kind of made sense that there had to be something other than the wheels under there.

maybe. but what if his garage isn't level? what if the front of his car is already tethered and suspended from the ceiling? what if, as you're assuming, the tire was positioned exactly under the center of gravity of the car so that if the car was parked facing east, then the rotational acceleration of the earth as it turns on its vertical axis would have made the car tilt backwards? or what if the car was facing north/south and a rooster laid an egg right along its centerline, would the egg fall to the east or to the west?

moral of the story: im busting your balls.
