Good luck with this! Looks like a cool project. Will the stock hood clear the TB?

Yeah I think it's been talked about but never done. I've always thought this was a better bastard swap than a 2JZ. It's shorter and I believe lighter than a Supra motor. You should be able to make a straight line beast that still turns too.

The only thing I really want to know is what tranny setup you're going to use. If you run a slush box and a live axle I'll kill a puppy....swear to God I will.

::edit:: BTW, engine bay looks shaved. I can only assume you're going to put the battery in the trunk and lose your ABS. Losing ABS is the ONLY thing I don't really like.

Also, how close will your acc belts be to the crossmember?

yes this motor is much lighter than a supra engine, due to the engine tranny combo i used it is only around 48lbs front heavy on a stock s2000, mine is a different story, it is stripped and the battery is moved to the rear. mine is actually lighter in the front now which will have to be addressed later on.

----lol about the slushbox and solid axle. -noo, not going there.haha. the though had crossed my mind but i couldnt do it. i like the way the cars drives and im hoping to keep it that way with minor changes. the tranny is a tremec tko600. and havent decided on the rear diff yet, it will remain irs.

---yeah i really dont have a problem with loosing the abs due to me never using it. ive had the car since 03 and can only remember it going off once and it was on the track and i totally overshot a turn because of it. not the reason for getting rid of it though, mostly due to the engine bay shave. it really cleaned the drivers side up.

---the crossmember looks closer than it is in person, corvette balancer and drive accessories fit fine.
