sadly I think mesh wheels in anything under 18 look horrible. I think it has a lot to do with having a lip and the way the spokes extend from the hub to the lip, there is not enough space for them to expand and look right. 18's in mesh look fabulous though!

im so sick of volks, the only ones i wanted were se37k, bbs look just like those mesh style wheels, except bbs rules that style!
i think bbs is almost as light and strong as the volks, i like bbs' quality

The CE's will still cut about 4 pounds off each of the 17" RGR's and give more contact patch.
And CE's will look bigger due to it's 1 piece design.
