going under the car with the jack like that is pretty damn scary

Haha hell yeah. I have 2 friends with lifts but I continue to do it on the floor due to convenience reasons. The worst was the clutch job on jack stands. The rear end wasn't as bad.

Yeah my brother in law had a car fall on him with jack stands in place, has a 9 inch scar on his right fore arm. If the car had been as low as an S who knows what would have happened? I put mine on jack stands and leave the jack under the car just in case... yeah, I'm scary like that.
