I'm running a 3mm headgasket which lowers my compression to 9-1, therefore I able more boost than previously with my SC setup. Alex in the RSR S2000 drift car is using the same 3mm headgasket as I with a stock bottom end and he has had no problems with his setup. I will post up dyno graphs when I do a post on my turbo kit in the under the hood forum for you guys. Meanwhile you can see my signature to see what I have changed.

Drew,

In your previous setup (Comptech SC) if you had run a 3mm gasket and boosted to 16 psi; what kind of additional power do you think you would have been making (I do understand that boost is more controllable with a turbo .. not so linear as with a supercharger)

The reason I ask is because I have 2 prototype S2000 pulleys the were built by Vortech and never released to the public ....

12psi and 18psi

maybe time to port and polish

The problem I saw with using the 3mm headgasket with my Comptech SC was that the SC does not make the low end torque that a turbo does therefore the car car would not be as responsive on the low to mid rang of the power band which does not work well for tracking the car. Plus I believe the Novi 1000 is only good to 12 or 14 PSI of boost on our car before you start exceeding its maximum RPM limits of the blower.

I saw your car at the back of the parking lot and was wondering what kinda exhaust you're using? I was gonna go up to say hi to you guys but you were all working under the hood and didn't want to disturb you guys. Very sick car

The exhaust is one we made using 3inch Stainless piping, Stainless mandrel bends, HKS flanges, and a HKS Hi Power Muffler, plus we tig welded the complete exhaust. The exhaust sounds and looks sweet.

Per Vortech, their blower is good up to 20 psi. But realistically, I don't think you could get higher than 14-15 psi w/out some serious belt slippage.
