It is not the wheel. The wheel is the same as MY04-05. It is the airbag that is differant.

Getting rid of the helmet hole had nothing to do with crash tests. A lot of people just didn't find it comfortable. (myself included).

But I'd still prefer it was there for when I do participate in an event that requires me to wear a helmet.

I'm certain the seats would have changed for all markets (hell, Japan has the 2.2 litre now too).
