Plasti Dip is awesome
Well I will be painting my entire car flat white this weekend, I will get pictures up as soon as it is finished to show everyone what it looks like. I am doing it simply because I have nothing better to do and I want a white car again. I hope it turns out well, if it looks like ass, then it just peels right off! And as far as my previous post, the plasti dip people say when doing a large surface you should do thin mutiple coats instead of thick So I will see how well that works out. I'll keep everyone updated when I finish it.
take alot of pictures

Yeah for large surfaces it works better doing multiple lighter coats...if you put it on too thick it will look streaky and chunky. Good luck
Will you be using cans or gallons with a spray gun? I can tell you right now that it will not come out well just using cans. I have seen 3 done in person. the hood and the trunk will be very hard to do evenly with cans. The best thing to do is use the gallons, also get some of the thinner they sell. Thin out the plasti dip a bit and then apply it using a cheap spray gun. Do 6 light, even coats and it will come out well that way.
Overall, I think it came out 7 out of 10. It was my first time, and I did it in a dark single car garage with a single overhead lightbulb. I had a very hard time keeping the gun at optimal angles and proper distances due to lack of space, as well as the added difficulty of the car being red, and spraying red, and due to the fact that plastidip is glossy when wet, I couldn't tell which areas I hit and which ones I missed. Also, I did it on a cold morning (45F) and it was very dry out, so the dip was drying in midair, causing a more textured finish than I would have liked. However, lessons learned, and I will do a FAR better job the next time around. Luckily, it is an easy fix so no big deal.
