Default Plasti Dip on my wheels

So over this past weekend i decided to finally Plasti Dip my wheels in an attempt to protect them over the winter. Bought 4 cans and used one for each wheel. Cleaned the wheels as well as possible beforehand. I ripped up some printer paper and stuck it between the wheel and tire to cover the tires. Unfortunately i only had 2 jack stands so it became a 2 day process. Ended up with 5 coats on each wheel, waiting 30-45 min between applying each coat, and waiting 24hrs before driving on them. It was super easy! />

I am happy with how it turned out. Ive driven about 100miles so far and we had a dusting of snow yesterday. Just cleaned them a little while ago with some glass plus and paper towels and they look good as new. Well see how they hold up over winter. Hopefully it comes off as easily as the videos make it look!

Looks good. I just did the same thing to my wheels (E46 M3 owner now). The best part is this stuff is very durable and easily peels off to reveal the original color underneath, and won't ruin your wheels.

He did it to protect his wheels for the winter.... Of course it looks better in the original form.

I think you did a good job, looks good and it will be a good protectant.

Yeah i also like the original finish on them better but it gets pretty annoying cleaning all the road salt off of them all winter. I can at least just let these get dirty and it doesnt look as bad. Besides a little extra winter protection never hurt anyone! />

Nofar do you have any pictures of your m3 with them done? I bet it looks awesome. How long have you had yours done for and how are they holding up?

Edited: Because also i HATE brake dust with a passion.
