Driving in LA and having a S2000 as a daily driver, it can be damaging seeing the paint chip due to rocks or even debri flying on the freeway. I figured why not apply this temporary, peel off coat and attract some attention while at it.

It'd look a lot better if you'd take the dip off your brake light and tail lights.

I have seen a couple of "dipped" cars up close and personal; if it is done right....they look like paint, cant tell the difference. Just like when spraying paint you have to have the correct temps and helps if there is no wind. I think Fonzie figured out that the sprayer he was using and using quite well was not working out for a lot of customers...they lack his skill level. It may be trendy but when the trend goes away you can just peel it off. I am planning on doing my S soon, but I am going to practice on my beater first and then do the S after I have some skill.

i was just thinking that too. what if plasti-dip becomes the new painter's tape? good for low front lips, long distance drives, and track cars..

+1

Track day protection, possibly a winter "cover" solution (wonder how it'd hold up to -30 or -40F?) and definitely an easy road trip protection too.

LA isn't that bad - I DD my AP2 too, but I think you're attracting the wrong kind of attention. If you want real paint chip protection, I'd suggest a clear bra. Just my .02
