Default Possible for sanding down the canister?

Since the T1R EM's canister is quite big and shinny for my taste. I wonder if theres anyways to reduce the shinnyness ( bling ) on the canister, um... by sanding it? Becausee everytime when I look at my car from the rear ( day time ), this bling canister is little too out-standing, a little too shinny for my taste....... So I wonder if theres anyways to keep the canister to not shine as much.... Any help will be appreciated...... I dont have pics now, i'll post one 2mr. But heres a vid of the back of my car. Thanks

i think it looks perfect! theres a lot more blingy-er exhausts out there, and I honestly think this a pretty low key mellow looking exhaust. But if you wish, i'd take a really fine .. maybe 1000+ grid sandpaper and goto work on the muffler and tip. If anything, try it out on the resonator so you can see how it looks before doing it to the muffler.

you can always not wash the muffler/tip and let it get dirty, thats what I always do if you don't want it to shine

yeah sanding would be bad because the "shiny" is either paint or very finely polished which is basicly just cloing the pores of the metal. if u sand u open them up and expose it to rust. if your really that unhappy with the shine i say sand hi temp prime and hi temp silver paint it. thatd still look nice

I say paint the muffler flat black but leave tip alone
