Post guage mounting places
You can say that again. But one time my brother rocked a cop when he asked about my brother's FTO A pillar gauge, my brother's response was that it is factory and that its an import. The cop believed him and let him go. Sucker.
I take it you just drilled holes in the radio door for the guages? Was wondering if you have a pic with the radio door open, just want to see how you routed the wires.
Thanks
sylvir
I drilled the holes using a skill adjustable hole saw. 19 dollars at your friendly hardware store. Be sure and measure your hole accuralely and lock the blade down tight, go slow so there is no wobble. It's a scoring single blade cutter so it works well on the plastic face.
My gauges only penetrate the front plate and rest against the inside plate. I decided I wanted my gauges movable so if I want to mount them up on the dash or windshield for the track I can do that.
The gauges rest in the radio door in a silicone saddle. The cables run thru the radio trim just underneath the radio directly behind each gauge. I left the cables loose there so they can move in and out so as not to cause excessivle flex on them.
hope that helps

yes the Blitz gauges are electronic stepping motors. they are about one falh inch thick behind the bezel the cables run from them to a network card. Installed this way there is no interference with the radio. The gauges have a 90 sec run memory a peak memory and a high low warning setting. Here's their website.
