The sheet metal is really delicate on that part of the car. Both me and a friend are both basically stock and we both have small dings on the quarter panel from who-knows-where. It almost like an acorn falling off a tree on the wrong day can take the whole thing out.

So is there no way to fix this except for bondo?

Metal work...

People need to realize that a fender roller is for rolling. I've seen way too many helen keller specials lately.

I meant PDR, but I guess not since everyone seems to have used bondo for repair.

Actually, I used a hammer on Mina's car. Less paint cracking, less work, better results, and no buckled quarter panel.

Edit: Come to think of it, there was no paint cracking at all.
Rears were rolled, very slight pull.
Fronts were pulled. Fronts were slightly bondoed for a bit of uneven-ness

A rubber mallet is better for the fronts but definitely not for the rear. Roller = more even.
