yea yea, i know. but like it or not its all of these sport compacts that really i think let honda get into the sportier side of the car business.
I'd call the S500, 600, and 800 more of the S2000's 'ancestors'
either way its all just a play on words. call it wahtever you like.... a lotta people grew up driving these preludes, integras, del sols, and crx's etc--- and all have a soft spot for them still even if they've graduated to s2000's and NSXs and thats all i'm doin here, bringin back a little nostalgia, enjoyin some nice shots of great cars.... and who knows maybe even spurring some interest that someone will go save a few of these from the junk man?
either way.

The performance-oriented sporty cars (not sportscars) like the Civic Si/Integra/Prelude are descended from advances made by Honda's F1 program and then in the production world NSX (VTEC).
Sportier side of car business? Sh*t the first production car from Honda was the S500 which was a sportscar (RWD, 2 seater, convertible), you can't get any more "sporty" than that

I think performance-oriented Civics/Tegs/Ludes all served their purpose to give us a taste of something other than "biege" fuel-sipping, reliable, econoboxes (all the non-VTEC models), but they owe their existance to Honda sportscars, not the other way round

Gateway "drugs" if you want to call this car thing an addiction, but certainly not ancestors, more like performance sample platters (e.g. small, accessible, cheaper than the full deal)?
Again no disrespect to you, but please show some respect to the real "forefathers" of the S2K and not mislabel the stepping stone cars.
hey! nice looking lude's, my favorite has always been the 5th gen
but funny thing is i was thre on a few of the photoshoots of ludes that posted, you must of gotten a couple of pic's from socalprelude.com lol

4th gen FTMFW
gotta love them. i have never had a point in my life where i was driving and didn't own a lude... started with a third gen and moved up to a 4th a year later and still have it.
i think that the style is timeless, and will look geat forever, and you have to love the dash layout

No disrespect man, but seriously?
The only "forefathers" of the S2000 are the S600 and S800, and if you want to include VTEC as part of the lineage, the NSX.
