Default PRM CAI installed today

Installed the PRM cold air intake this evening. The install was pretty simple. I would recomend this intake on looks and sound alone, at WOT the intake makes a bad ass growl. I was not really able to give it a full test but, I did notice an increase in engine response at about 5k and up. Tomorrow when the roads are dry I will really get on it to fully test it. Here are some pics I took after the install.

good pics, though the intake looks kind of funky IMO (remind me of a horn). No offence intended ofcourse.

Looks real nice! Now all you gotta do is finish it off by bringing "real" ambient air to that horn. The area around the mouth of that horn can still get very warm/hot. There is a thread around here somewhere showing the "extra" mod for this mod. Try searching PRM to see what you get.

It's hot alright. About 9 hp's worth of heat.
As for PRM owners, routing a duct from inside the horn to the
wheel well made no significant gains for me and I tested several
other PRM alterations as well with no advantages beyond stock
design. The only thing I haven't done is routing air from below
to the horn section and stopping PRIOR to the horn section. This preserves the Venturi affect which is negated if air bypasses the horn inlet and goes directly into the filter casing.
As is, the design works great.

I like the fit, I have seen/heard the PRM intake in person, it sounds very loud during the VTEC range, but I was too concerned with the heat prob so I couldnt go with it, IMO a CAI is definately required for track usage and it significantly improves the performance of the F20C engine during the long run.

Today I got to test it out , and my impressions are. Once in VTEC you can feel the engine pulling harder, also getting up to 100mph felt quicker. The engine doesn't seem to bog as much as before. As far as the sound it is totally bad ass, people turn there heads to look at my car.
