Ok, here it is so far, obviously still needs paint and rims, and I'm still finishing up the molding of the hardtop.

not a graphic design major but we pretty much knows most of the graphic programs.

this was done with illustrator, all hand "drawn" aka no autotrace, contour, etc

believe it or not, i perfer drawing it by hand than photoshop/illustrator.

^all by hand

kind of off topic, but i'm a graphic design major and i was wondering if you guys have any tips when it comes to finding a job in a field that has something to do with automobiles.
i think you best bet is work with a firm that get "jobs" from major auto MFG.(from what a heard).

all the industrial and car designer design graphic for a cheeseburger, are you into graphic only? why not venture into the world of automotive design and industrial design if you want to work for honda, ford, etc... no disrespect but if you like hands on design as much as flat pixel, both ID and trans will offer much more, not to mention you will know how to paint your car inside out and use bondo, pixel glass, fiberglass like a pro bu the time you finish school

Wow, both of those look awesome... I'm still trying to get used to illustrator. I'm ok with the pen tool, but I'm not as efficient as I should be, so everything takes me forever.

I know what you mean about illustrator versus drawing by hand, I'm the same way... Illustrator is great but very tedious sometimes and it doesn't have the same "flow" that drawing does.

Nice work though

pen tool? you'll hate it at first but after a while(like 100 layers and 5000 paths later) you'll love it, you will love it more than your current girlfriend because you pretty much can't live without it.

illustrator and ps are great, they are relatively cheap(cough..how much was the cs3 combo? 1700 plus tax?). illustrator is not that bad, some of my engineering/3d vector program is a bit0h to run on slow computer.

can't wait to see you finish it up

Oh believe me, I love it I've had my share of experience with the pen tool, but mostly in photoshop... for example: S2000 vector wallpaper and Vector/airbrushing logo. I'm also currently working on an Evo VI wallpaper similar to the S2000 one.

My true love is raster work, but vector art is growing on me

Back on topic, I'm making progress with the S, right now everything but paint is done, I just need to fix up the shading on the front bumper and side skirts and then I'll paint it. Should be done pretty soon.
