Becasue with a k20r the car goes 11.80s all stock Im not to sure that would be shooting myself in the foot.
I think it would be fun to start a side project but everytime I think about the money, I'd rather put it into the S. Hopefully someday when I own a C6 Z06 I can buy an old Evo or S2000 for a little side project. Good luck with your project none the less.

eric does NOT look like this in person. he's really a softy

CRX + K20 = awesome auto-x'er and/or track car (think Honda-challenge).
If you want to build a K20 drag car, go with an Insight. It's lighter, can easily fix the suspension on it for drag purposes, etc.
Good luck with the build.

Tons of people drag fwd, not that rare.
I'd like to do a similar but far more radical project. A 'CSX' or 'NRX'.
Using a 90's CRX (same as this project) but rear mount a C3X V6 and drivetrain (same as NSX, but out of an Accord or similar). Could be an awesome track (the ones with turns) car and wouldn't be too expensive parts wise.
