I think I like the vents better, without them it looks kind of like a confused shark or something.

I like the shaved badges. My s is the only car that I haven't done that to. However, the vents help to break up the lines in the car imo. Keep the vents.

I would leave the vents. Without them, it makes me think the cars is say "Oh."

After thinking about it for a while I decided that part of the reason the design does not look complete is because the OEM lip is molded with the idea that the vents would be there. I decided to modify the OEM lip in Photoshop and extend the upper portion all the way to the center opening, gives it a much more complete look IMO.

Here's some pictures so you get an idea what I'm talking about:

and here's one more were I upped the contrast and made it seem the headlights were on:

I'm not sure how much work something like this would entail, or how much money it would be... but I'm sure a talented shop could replicate something close to this. What do you guys think?

I don't think it looks bad at all, really reminds me of that prototype video at the Nurburgring.

Original!

Shaved badges look really clean, too.

It looks more like a Miata from the front without those vents. That's certainly not a good thing.

It looks great without the vents. I always thought that a fake vent was tacky. IMO
