This hardtop isn't for track enthusiasts. This hardtop isn't for design freaks. This hardtop isn't for JDM fanatics. This hardtop isn't for OEM+ followers.
This hardtop is for instagrammers. It is meant to give you maximum instagram cred.
I'm very curious about what kind of market research was done to check how deep the buyer pool would be, seems like a hard no for 25 of 37 poled, doesn't seem like a percentage worth catering to IMO. Are there any plans to address the potential customers concerns about visibility or design, or is it a done deal take it or leave it type of situation?
I like that this is *somewhat* an original design (besides the Mugen top used as a base), but the thought behind the design just seems half-baked. It's obviously trying to recreate the look of the Carrera GT, but doesn't do it very well.
The Carrera GT has those two humps because of the intake plenums, I believe, which the S2000 obviously doesn't require. So not only does it look ugly, but you get poor visibility as a result of some designer just thinking it would be cool to add these plenum cover looking things that add zero function and even worse, take away functionality.
I don't see any win in this design at all...
