Default Pulled the windshield tape

Today was the first 93 degree weather in Michigan so far this year. My car sat outside in direct sun all day long, so I decided it would be a good idea to pull the windshield tape. Here are the pictures:

Before:

During:

Immediately afterwards:

My only problem was the weather stripping didn't look perfect afterwards

Here is the tape:

After using Goo gone with a microfiber cloth, applying Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion and 1 layer of Pinnacle Souveran wax and adjusting the weather stripping:

Total time from start to finish: 50 minutes

I learned something very valuable. When it's 93 degrees outside, I'd much rather stay indoors then be outside working on my car.

I like it. IMO it looks worse with the top up, but a lot better with the top down. But pretty much every time I drive, my top is down.

I'm just really glad that I had perfect paint under my tape.

Good job. It looks like your paint was in good shape underneath, so that saved you a few headaches

Adjusting the weather stripping was easy. In the spots where it was wavy, I tried tucking it back in. If it still looked funny, I peeled the stripping back, and removed some of the glue using Goo Gone and a microfiber cloth. Then I tucked the weather stripping back in, and it looked fine.

Around the windshield in the before pictures everything is black. In the after pictures you can see red paint. In the US S2000s in every color other than black come with black tape around the windshield. Some owners like myself choose to remove that tape and have the windshield surround in body color. The only problem is that some people have not so perfect paint under the tape. I got lucky however.
