They have to be my favorite breed that I've ever had. They're trying just like a 2 year old child but rewarding at the same time. I've never had dogs with more personality than they have.

my greatest advice, I would only consider 1 if you plan on crating it (during the day and at night) and you never let it off its leash outside a fenced in area.
Basenjis need to be crated otherwise they will get bored/anxious and destroy everything in sight. Read: The Bad and also The Ugly HERE
They also have a very high prey drive and are sight hounds, so if they're off the leash in a bad place and see something they want, they're gone, forget it.
