Default Quick photo question

I have an Olympus D-520 Zoom, it's a 2.0 mp and works excellent for most all of my needs, but when I want to take an extreme close-up pic, it's always blurry. Did I miss something? Does it not have enough megapixels? Is it the lighting? What's the deal?

There should be a close-up mode you can switch to; usually a little flower icon shows up on the screen when it's turned on. And cameras' have limitations on how close they can be from the objects before everything blurs out.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Having a 2.0 MP camera might attribute to the picture looking "grainy."

The feature you are looking for is called "macro." Read your manual to see if you have it.
