for the glue, I purchased a sticker removing spray at Advance auto parts. I sprayed it out and the glue came off without damaging the paint. Yours being an aP1 the glue will be on pretty good as it has aged. Let the car sit in the sun on a warmer day and peel the tape at an angle. do it slow and if it begins to tear, get a better grip closer to the car. it seems to tear close to the windsheild gasket.

Use a heat gun to heat up the tape, kyle if you noticed when you came and grabbed the top off me, my windshield tape is off also, just use a heat gun and it comes out with ease, trust me i did it.

just be carfull with heat guns, they get a hotter than your wifes hair dryer and can melt the gaskets. Should work, I did not use one, as I was afraid it would leave more sticky glue behind.
