Have you even played this game? its much much more than a pretty face. has a full tuning system, damage models, realistic driving etc... IGN gave it a 9.2 which is very impressive: http://pc.ign.com/articles/740/740142p1.html
IGN is in the buisness of reviewing games though, not physics simulations.

The first GTR was a complete joke when it comes to the physics (I own the full version of this game). I've played the GTR 2 demo and they seemed to have cleaned it up considerably. I will probably buy it (since it is so cheap), but only for the game play (good AI, racing a whole season, etc). It still doesn't compete with Live for Speed for physics, feel, or feedback.

If you don't mind: what are the specs of your computer? Considering building a new one, but not sure if it's worth it just yet.

No problem...

AMD 64 3400+
Radeon x800
Nforce 4 mobo.
1gig 3200 ram
120gig HDD

Very basic... you can build something like this for around $600 if even.. and i can play most games with the video settings turned all the way up... i only have a 17in monitor so the best res to play games at is either 1280x1024 or 1024x768... im sure if i had something that supported a higher res i couldnt turn all the eye candy up as much..

Looks good at least. I never play games on my computer though. I'll wait for Gran Turismo on PS3
