scary thing is, there is VERY few cars on the road that will ever touch this thing, if the guy really lays into it. traction is just too damn good, and who has 1000 hp on tap? supras. id like to see a 1300 hp supra, vs veyron from a roll. hehe. lates dave

Just read the other day that the Bugatti will run out of gas in 12 minutes at top speed. It's a safety feature. Apparently, the tires become unstable after so many miles at that speed.

 

That's a lot of cars. I lived there for 15 years and I don't think I saw that many combined.

 

That would be a heck of an Interesting proposition racing a 1000hp Supra.

Contrast that with The Top Gear review; they mentioned that if you let a McLaren F1 run to ~100mph, the Bugatti will still catch up and pass it heading towards 200mph.

Versus a 1000hp Supra I'd put my money on the Bugatti:
1. AWD - solid launch - and even from a roll, if you're going to apply that much force, AWD could still be your friend. . .
2. Custom drivetrain
3. Custom tires
4. Twice as many turbos going into a bigger block - torque is still your friend.

In the end, the race could be close, but while the Supra driver is using every wit he/she has to eek out the max from that car, the Veyron driver is sitting there filing their nails, looking up and stating, "Oh, there's a Supra outside. That's nice. . . suppose I should step on it, shouldn't I?"
