Repainting cheap set of Slipstreams
Picked these up real cheap from a local guy. Decided to have some fun with these wheels. Will most likely become my autox/track wheels, as they are decently lightweight/strong/trackable for the price. I plan on picking up a nicer set of wheels this summer (Works/Weds) and selling 1 or both of my current sets of wheels, but these will keep me amused for now.
Rota Slipstreams, 17x7" fronts, 8" rears. Toyo Proxes 4 (almost brand new.) Wheels were used for occasional winter driving and mostly just rolling around in the shop while the PO had some work done on his car.
I have 2 wheels mostly done so far. Going to do the other 2 tomorrow night.
Used rough steel wool and 320 grit sandpaper to sand. 2-3 coats of primer in the barrels and on the faces. 3-4+ light coats of white paint. I have a couple spots to lightly sand, and then 1 more light coat of white paint, then 1-2 coats of clear.
I will probably install them on my car Saturday/Sunday after I get my car back with it's new clutch. I'll try to have some pictures with a real camera by then.

Here's a crappy picture of the outcome..
