There are 2 ways to plumb a catch tank.

VR What's car is like most of the JDM tuners, they attach both hoses to the can, and vent to the atmostsphere. They plug the PCV port, and No Positive crank ventilation occurs using engine vacuum.

My car and Tenblade use a catch tank plumbed inline with the PCV hose. This works as a Oil seprator.

Huy has his can on the fresh air inlet for the PCV. I'd highly doubt any oil has showed in the can.

I'm not a believer of the JDM way. I'd much rather use engine vacuum to evacuate the crankcase.

There are several threads in UTH that talk about catch tanks. It's important to understand how the stock PCV system works to understand how the catch tank works.

well the way Chris (VR What) has it is the way Cusco intended for the S2000 since they made a specific bracket for our car.

But who's to say we can't get creative like the other 2 guys.

Mine is installed like VR WHAT's btw
Yeah the best part about it is that I returned the first one I bought because it was for an Integra. The guy tried telling me it would fit my car. So I sold it and ordered another one from Tech2 and they told me it was the right one for the S2000, and here it came with a universal bracket. I don't have the JDM bracket But it's in the right spot.

Guedo512-it came with no such mechanism. I just wrapped it up with some electrical tape and mounted it to the frame

all u guys have the cusco one, right?
I'm getting mine this friday. When u mount the bracket, do u have to drill holes?
also, from what I saw in the pic, I don't really have to remove the cruise control, right?
thanks.

I noticed you guys are all running the transparent tubes that came with the catch tank. Have u guys experienced any problems with them? My old transparent ones collapsed after one track day and I replaced them with the regular oil-resist black ones.

I found mine has no oil catched...maybe I installed that wrong....

jacky, check the tubes, if there are collapsings, that could be the reason.

what I'm asking is, is there a difference between mount the can on the driver's side and mount the can on the passenger's side
