Default Rick's S Badge on Spa Yellow - HELP!

Guys/Gals, need your help DESPERATELY!...

I recently put a silver on yellow Rick's S badge on my Spa Yellow MY02 and the color match is... not great. Looks OKAY, but I really expected a much better match at $45 a badge. Does anyone have photos of the Silver/Yellow Rick's badge on Spa Yellow (preferably MY02)? Need to see if my car is a freak or if the badge is a freak or if I'm just being too damned picky...

Thanks, and I'll post photos of mine this evening...

I wrote back to Rick's and told them the badge didn't match, and they suggested MY PAINT was wrong (as opposed to their badge). I thought since these badges are old they may color match better on a MY00 or MY01, b/c they don't real well on the MY02.

I'm not a huge fan of the black and yellow (just won't go right with the look I'm going for), but let me ask you this... check the yellow of the "S" to the car paint, are they REALLY CLOSE in match?

Here's what I mean:

In the shade (right now, the front) the difference isn't as bad, but is still noticable...

In the sun or under bright light, however the difference is more pronounced...

Anyone have thoughts/comments? Am I just being to anal about it? I'd like to see a good quality, front-on picture of a black/yellow emblem if anyone has one.

Just went out and looked at mine. I have the black background w/ yellow S and I would say my yellow and yours look identical. I had to stare at it a min to notice ANY difference but there is a bit of shade variation between the two. I have never noticed this and with the black background it will never bother me.

I think the problem is you have the two yellows up against each other and the variation will be more noticeable. FWIW I bought a Honda OEM lip and installed months after owning the car and I can see a slight variation between the two. It takes a certain light and angle for me to notice it, but it's there. Still I love it (lip), almost as much as Ricks badges.
